I think I’ve spent 3-4 days searching the web for another jukebox/mp3 player for the site since support for Andromeda is seemingly non-existent. I’ve had to look at options closely to ensure whatever replaces Andromeda can run on PHP7.x. I came across Wimpy Player. It runs on PHP7.x. That’s the litmus test. I set it up to play the media on the site. Mo bettah, ya?
So it looks very simplistic compared to Andromeda, but (1) it’s not simplistic at all but I don’t have the time to learn how to bring out all its bells and whistles, and (2) Andromeda was probably more cumbersome for most visitors to use for long anyway.
So… onward movement. We’ll see how this goes.
