Coronavirus closes down Monterey Bay Canners now

Here we go, another one bites the dust. Someone told me today that Monterey Bay Canners in Pearlridge, having been temporarily closed because of COVID-19 concerns, is not going to reopen. Wow. Wow. Another of our favorite comfort food spots. First Plantation Tavern and now this. MBC because it has always been our special occasion place like anniversaries, and a place we often took guests and visitors to dinner.…

Plantation Tavern victim of COVID-19

Plantation Tavern in Kapolei has been one of our favorite eateries for special occasions and when the whim for what I call local fusion food hit us. A birthday celebration here, an otherwise notable occasion there, etc.. But alas no more, thanks to this goddamned Coronavirus and the shutdown it has caused. Plantation Tavern closed temporarily, and then reopened on a limited basis for takeout, but they will not sustain the struggle so are closing permanently!!!…
