Probably a ‘who cares’ for most. But if you’re a signal soldier at heart, especially one whose career has been the Army Signal Corps, nothing more need be said. It just evokes pride and a smile.

Today’s news had the announcement that Gen Schwarzkopf has died. It didn’t specify what he died of. I had all but forgotten about him since the Gulf War days since he never resurfaced after retirement. Seeing/hearing about him just brought back thoughts and memories of those days.
