This was a shocker to me. Not that I was a devout fan of [url=https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robin_Williams]Robin Williams[/url] per se, but he was a brilliant comedian and actor. He was one of those whose abilities to do ad hoc and ad lib comedy as well as perform across the entire range of acting roles fro funny to serious. And yet another performer who loved making people laugh, but yet became a victim of his own private unhappiness. I especially remember him in association of his debut on the small screen with the premiere of Mork and Mindy with my leaving to enlist in the Army. The premiere was a few days before I left for basic training and watching that show was etched in my memory as one of the last events before leaving home for good….
The world will not know another comedian and actor of his caliber again. Rest in peace Robin Williams.
