Leaving Guam is always a bittersweet event, seemingly so no matter how many times we do it. We can’t wait to get back home and resume normal a normal agenda. At the same time, it’s almost as if every little thing about Guam tugs at our, well at least my, hearts as we leave it behind.
For all the reasons I keep trying to rationalize but cannot other than to say it’s because it’s home in my heart, I don’t want to leave or I want to move back. and each time I visit Guam, the more and more that longing to move back gets stronger and stronger…. like that drum beat in the movie Jumanji.
This morning…. as we got to the airport to depart, that drum beat began it’s rhythm again….
