Here we go with the next major home improvement project! Lou has wanted the first floor of the house redone in hardwood flooring. Hardwood is more expensive though and had other drawbacks we didn’t want to deal with (moisture damage issues, etc.), so we opted for vinyl instead.
We had Arthur Galang come over last week to estimate dimensions and then picked up the vinyl panels at Lowes. Last Sunday he and another worker, Charlie, pulled up all the carpeting. This weekend they’ll chip the tiles off from the doorways and kitchen, then onto laying the flooring.
Meanwhile, I’ve been moving stuff out from the living, dining, and family rooms into the lanai to store until the floor is done.
