Excel: Stop font size/face from Changing in URL

This has been quite an annoyance for the longest time, but it never got to the point of wanting to look up an answer ’till now.

When I’m entering info into a spreadsheet I’ll have a default font size, color, face, etc.. When I add a hyperlink to data in a cell, it always changes the font size and face of that cell data, which irks me. I have to go back and highlight the cell, and change the font size and face back to what I want to match the default of the sheet.

I found a simplified procedures in a Quora answer that fixes that. Although, now if you type a URL directly in to a cell, it won’t automatically become a clickable link… can’t win ’em all…
