Lou and I took a drive today for her Pokemon Community Day thing. We first ate lunch at Dai Ichi Ramen, and then drove into town afterwards. We stopped by Jack in the Box in Kapahulu to get shakes, then stopped at Foodland in Ewa Town center to pick up stuff to make Beef Shank Kadu. I guess appetite-wise I’m doing okay today.
‘A Day in the Life’ notes whenever I feel like it… some on broadcast, some just under the radar… many transcribed from old handwritten and journals. Some of possible general interest or interest to fam/friends; most probably not but just for my own journaling. A lot restricted to just my own journaling.
Repainted the X
It took twice as long by the shop, but painting was completed. I’m not really happy with the job, especially after Justin came over to check it out and pointed out so many “amateur” work evidence… they didn’t do a very good or complete/extensive job cutting and buffing. Jeff, Amber Camacho and family as we dropped them off at the airport on their way back to Italy.

Jeff/Amber and fam in from Italy
We had a small gathering at the house for dinner with Jeff and Amber and family in from Italy. It was nice.
Lunch with my honey
We had lunch at Foodland Farms in Kapolei (Kamakana Ali’i) after a little bit of running around. We’d heard of the restaurant inside Foodland but hadn’t checked it out until today. I thought I’d take a picture while we waited for our food to arrive.
The Girls after Dinner
We had a dinner outing with the girls this evening. Elora insisted on going to Genki Sushi, so we went to the Kapolei one. After dinner Lou wanted to get some cookies next door at the Crumbl Cookies store, so she went to get some while I took the girls to the van to wait.
4th of July Dinner
Some pics Robert took this evening. He and Linda are staying at Kayleigh’s “in-laws'” place in Kapilina while they transition out of Hawaii back to Washington. We had dinner with them. Just Lou and me, and Norma.
Forever My Girl
We’ve been together for 48 years this year, 41 married. It’s been a lifetime already and we’re not done yet. I love her more and more completely now that I ever have. We’ve grown together since our teenage years, learned together.. about life, about ourselves, about each other. Our likes, desires, realities, fantasies, have mostly become synched without effort.…
Happy 94th birthday Mom!
