The latest in the news has been about COVID numbers climbing again. Hospitalizations are increasing. But deaths have been low. That, presumably (by me) because many are now vaccinated and boosted, so symptoms are much milder than pre-vaccination days.

Redoing the home flooring continued today as Arthur does the job on weekends. He and his guys (Sam and Charlie) did floor sanding/smoothing and sealing (minor cracks and the joints in the concrete slab floor), and then started laying the flooring.

Here we go with the next major home improvement project! Lou has wanted the first floor of the house redone in hardwood flooring. Hardwood is more expensive though and had other drawbacks we didn’t want to deal with (moisture damage issues, etc.), so we opted for vinyl instead.

Peaches and Lina sent pics and a few videos of time spent together this week. Peaches and family flew to Washington to visit Lina, and the Washington families (Lou’s sister Lina and brother Frankie and their families). I was kind of envious that Lou and I weren’t there to join them all.
