Defense Enterprise Computing Center Pacific, August 2010 to December 2012. As I leave for a new job this week, I take with me memories of the job. That’s all we can do, right?

Si Nana Gi Familia – Emotions Catching Up
I had made distinct mental notes about Lou and her handling/coping with her mom passing away and taking both parents’ remains back to Guam for interment. She had always said periodically that she was just not ready for her mom to go.
When Mom Salas was in the hospital in her final days, again Lou mentioned… Continue Reading “Si Nana Gi Familia – Emotions Catching Up”
Aloha Gen Schwarzkopf
Today’s news had the announcement that Gen Schwarzkopf has died. It didn’t specify what he died of. I had all but forgotten about him since the Gulf War days since he never resurfaced after retirement. Seeing/hearing about him just brought back thoughts and memories of those days.
Mom and Pop Salas are finally home
Pop Salas passed in June 2010, and Mom this past Nov. We escorted them both on their final journey back home to Guam. Funeral mass for Mom at Mangilao Church, then interment of both Mom and Pop was at Pigo Cemetery.

Army Flashback…
I was fumbling around the web the other day on military related, or military info related, sites and came across names that I’d forgotten long ago.
I came across an online issue of the Army Communicator (which has since become restricted at its online link location). Names familiar in memory of long gone… Continue Reading “Army Flashback…”
Calling cops after prostitute cheats you? Really?
Some news stories make it so worthwhile to take the time to check guampdn.com sometimes.

This one should be submitted to TruTV’s “World’s Dumbest…”. How exactly does sane logic dictate that if a deal for sex with a prostitute at an illegally operated massage parlor goes bad… Continue Reading “Calling cops after prostitute cheats you? Really?”
Interracial – what is that, exactly?
So what does the term ‘interracial’ mean to you, as it applies to marriages and relationships? Is it truly meant, and used as such, to mean between two different races? Or just two contrastingly different colors of people?
Last night was the last night of HIST2302. They did the last of the class … Continue Reading “Interracial – what is that, exactly?”
